Free and Pro

Free costs nothing. We will share the price of Pro before launch.

TalkerApp is text-based AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) for adults, in two plans. It needs no account in either plan, and writing and speaking are never locked.

The two plans

Free

A complete tool for writing and speaking.

  • The editor, with word and whole-sentence suggestions in Polish and English
  • Large on-screen keys and switch scanning (not yet tested with switch hardware)
  • Optional local models: add-ons you download once. They read your whole message to improve suggestions, run on your computer and work without internet (they need disk space and memory)
  • Your computer’s own voices, free and instant
  • Phrases, emergency phrases and history (the ready-made phrases are in Polish in this version)
  • Some cloud voices, with your own key, but without emotion in them

Free needs no license.

Pro

Everything in Free, plus the full list of cloud voices and more.

  • All cloud voices, with emotion
  • The overlay keyboard for other apps: it types and speaks wherever it can find the text cursor (the caret).
  • Personas (a saved profile for each audience, such as family or work) and style learning (a report on how you write; only what you approve is used)
  • The Recording Studio, for recordings with a different voice for each part (needs a cloud voice and your own key)

What differs between Free and Pro

Everything in Free is also in Pro. Emotion in cloud voices and the full list of cloud voices are part of Pro. With your computer’s own voice, emotion changes pace and pitch in every plan.

Cloud services are paid separately

Neither plan covers the cost of cloud services. You pay each one directly, with your own key, and many include a free allowance.

What is your own key?

How the Pro license works

Writing and speaking are never locked
An expired or invalid license switches off the Pro features and nothing else. Writing, suggestions, phrases and history keep working, and so do your computer’s own voices and the cloud voices that Free includes.
12 months
A Pro license is valid for 12 months from the day you get it.
2 computers
One license covers 2 computers, for example a laptop and a desktop.
It never renews by itself
Nothing is charged automatically. When the 12 months end, you decide whether to get another year.
When it ends, you keep Free
TalkerApp keeps working as Free. Free needs no license and never checks for one.
Where it runs
TalkerApp is in development for macOS (Apple silicon) and for Windows 10 or 11 on a 64-⁠bit Intel or AMD PC, not Windows on ARM. iOS and Android are planned, with no dates yet.
